| Know. | Will. | Dare. | Be Silent. |
All day long on Earth Day, I've heard offhanded comments that reeked with cynicism about "saving the Earth." I even heard these comments from people who claim an affinity with Mother Nature, which made me even more sad.
Dance Dance Revolution - Jedi Meditation Training

Dance Dance Revolution on my Wii. Who knew it would be an excellent magical training device?
It is absolutely perfect for dropping me and keeping me in alpha. I immediately know when I hop up to beta state as well - it happens when a thought crosses my mind.
In our circles, we say, "As above, so also below." This statement comes from the Emerald Tablet of Hermes Trismegistus, in which the text originally reads, "Truth! Certainty! That in which there is no doubt! That which is above is from that which is below, and that which is below is from that which is above, working the miracles of one. As all things were from one."
I recently found some scanned copies of The Pentagram, a privately-circulated newsletter from the mid-1960's that was published in Britain. Included in these newsletters are poetry, articles, spells, and classifieds. Regrettably, the scans are a bit hard to read in some places, but don't let that stop you from exploring these fascinating documents which give us a glimpse into the history of the practice of modern Witchcraft.

Harrison Bergeron by Kurt Vonnegut. If you haven't read this classic little short story, then read it. If you have read it, read it again. It is such a simple, beautiful and elegant tale of equality and justice. I put the whole text of it right here for you. Enjoy.
Here is a great article on Witchcraft that is a delightful little blast from the past. It was published in the "Womens' Report" section of the Sarasota Herald-Tribune on October 27, 1974.
Book Review: Advanced Magic for Beginners
Written by Naya Ærodiode
In my extensive reading and research into all matters arcane, I am always delighted when I come across a book that manages to brilliantly balance simplicity and depth. Advanced Magick for Beginners by Alan Chapman, published in 2008 by Aeon Books, is one such book. Following along in the Chaos Magic current ("post-modern magic," as the author refers to it), Chapman strips away all of the cultural and personal pretenses placed upon magic, and pares down to the bare bones of the underlying theories of magic.
